My initial ideas for the end papers was to have two different designs. As the book reads through both the characters and scenery blossom. The start of the book is in winter, the gardens are bare and the walls full of ivy and towards the end of the book we have moved into summer and the gardens have blossomed and are full of flowers and colour. I wanted to visually represent this with the different end papers at the beginning and end of the book.
